The Beach

The weather was nice enough when we were in VA that we could hang out at the beach for a few hours. The kids loved it. The water was pretty cold but that didn't seem to bother Alana. Tyler was more interested in running around on the sand.

Daddy explaining what type of shells she found on the beach and counting them out. Of course they had to be in a straight row too!

Super Why

Tyler loves the show Super Why. Every time he watches it he always does the same thing. He puts his hand in when they all do and even tries to spin and do what the characters do. If you notice when the girl characters do their thing he doesn't really care for it, which Daddy is happy about! I finally was able to catch it on camera! Of course in the middle of it he discovers a gold fish on the ground and picks it up and eats it :) Gotta love boys....

Enjoy!

Gone Fishin

Not too long ago we had a pretty windy day. It actually blew out the screen door on our deck. Well the kids decided that the plastic molding would make great fishing poles. Got to admit they were pretty creative with that! So they went up on the little stone wall and tried to catch some fish. They caught a stinky sock, a boot, a shark, a whale, a tiny fish, and a big red gooey fish. They even pretended to cook the fish on our little fire pit we have.

I was playing around with the camera so I was trying black and white and color pictures. I am discovering more and more things with this camera....it helps to actually read the book!

It all ends in tears!

Well after a fun filled day outside I guess the only thing missing was a good old fashion tantrum!

Disney World 2009

I am finally able to put up our pictures from our trip to Disney World. We had such a great time. The kids did great on the airplane...actually Alana slept the whole flight (she had a bad cold) and Tyler slept for about an hour! They were so excited when we got to our hotel. The first day we got there we just hung out at the Boardwalk since we got in late and the kids just ran around.
Alana seeing the gates of Epcot opening on our first trip there. It was within walking distance for where we stayed so we went there a lot.
Tyler was obsessed with this map. It was in Braille so it almost looks like he is reading it.
We went through a lot of shots trying to get these crazy kids to smile at the same time. One would cough, one would look the wrong way, one would pick their nose....you name it they did it :)

What is a trip to Disney without getting a picture with the man mouse?!

Alana could have stayed and talked with Belle for hours! For several minutes Alana was the only kid there so Belle did talk to her. Alana asked her where her prince was and Belle said that the beast was still at the castle asleep. He gets grumpy if you wake him up! To which Dave replied...just like Mommy! Thanks honey!

Alana the super star. She insisted on me taking her picture like this, she is actually wearing my sunglasses.

Of course Tyler had to pose like that too. Since he is into whatever big sis does!
Petting zoo in animal kingdom. They did great with all of the animals. Even the safari ride was cool. We actually saw tons of animals, though I won't bore you with posting them all ;)

Our strange son....he was sooo picky this morning that we weren't sure we would be able to find something for him to eat. Well they brought out chips and queso. He saw all of us eating it so naturally he wanted some as well. We warned him that it would be spicy but he still wanted it. Wouldn't you know it....he LOVED it. We had to ask for some more chips to stop him from just eating the queso by itself!

Disney Pictures

Here are just a few random pictures from our trip.
Alana wanted to try this hat on..silly girl!
Walking back to our room after going to the bakery for fresh chocolate crescents and yummy hot coffee!

Alana helped open the park with a little square dancing and a mean game of hokie pokie. Tyler wanted NOTHING to do with that.

Alana wanted her picture by the celebrate sign, since we were celebrating her birthday there!
