Big day here at the Olson house! Tyler got his big boy bed! Our neighbor gave us this bed! So that was the "push" we (well I) needed to make the big move. We haven't painted his room yet, but will eventually.

joy ride
Alana decided that it would be all right to take her little brother for a spin. Of course they wanted to ride down the hill so I was stuck pushing them up it (while Alana held the petal down) so they could go "super duper fast" down the hill. Tyler was laughing just about the whole time. Pretty soon Alana is going to be too big for her 4-wheeler so we may need to pass it down to her little brother!
Thanks for the ride "nana"
4-wheeler
Alana got out her 4-wheeler yesterday and was riding around the yard. The battery hadn't been charged in a while so it was running a little slow. She decided she could get it up the hill faster by pushing it up. Then it would go pretty fast on the way down!

No pictures this week.
Well I haven't posted much this week. We've been having a great time enjoying the nice weather. The kids have been staying up way past bedtime since we have been going for late walks and then hanging out watching the fire flies dance around. Tyler has now become a pro at the slide. Before he would climb up the ladder and then want us to carry him down. Now he'll climb up the ladder and go down the slide by himself! Alana has been doing awesome on the swing. It took her a bit to get the hang of the 'pumping' thing but now she flies on it.
They still love drawing with the side walk chalk and blowing bubbles, though Tyler prefers to eat the bubble wand rather then blow the bubbles!
We have gone swimming a couple times in our neighbor's pool which Alana loves and unfortunately I think Tyler has taking after me with the 'water thing' He kept saying "No No No No" as he was in the water (life vest and all) with a death grip on my neck and his legs wrapped so tightly around my waist I could barely move. He was all smiles sitting on the step but don't get him out in the middle of the water. Daddy will have to work on that with him.
Alana has been coming up with stories like crazy (reminds me of what I was like growing up) the latest had to do with Tinkerbell meeting Pooh bear and him helping her find a house. First it was a book but she couldn't live there, then it was a jar but that wasn't right either. Then they found a perfect place in Piglet's house....a crib! We never know what she is going to come up with next. She even does different voices for the different characters! She will some day win an Oscar or and Emmy!
Tyler does his share of acting as well. He would 'sneak' in the room and jump up yelling "SURPRISE!" and when we do it back to him he says "oh!" and puts his hands up by his mouth acting shocked. These kids are crazy! They do keep us laughing though.
Well I shall end this now, I know reading isn't as much fun as looking at pictures. I hopefully will be taking some more soon to post. I hope everyone is well!

FOUR!
The kids like to join in with Dave when he plays golf. They grab whatever looks like a controller and pretends to hit with him. It is funny, they even have the shaking of the controller down. Apparently you have to shake it to get the ball to go a certain way...I don't know I don't play golf.

Catching bubbles
Bubbles; they can change a child's mood in an instant!
I taught Alana how to catch bubbles on her hands. So just about everyday we've had to go outside and catch some. She then 'sets them free' in her bucket of water. Tyler is usually right behind her popping them, typical little brother!

Polar Opposites!
Making smores!
We were in Ohio for my family reunion and decided one night to make smores. Yummy. The kids had fun roasting the marshmallows and then making the ooey gooey mess eating them. They only ended up doing one each and then opted to eat the chocolate straight. Can't blame 'em. We continued to roast marshmallow well after the kids were over the whole thing. We just finished up and were packing up to go inside when it started to POUR! We got done just in time!
Tyler had no interest in roasting marshmallows. He was as happy as could be pushing the lawnmower around. Hmmm lets hope he keeps up that enthusiasm for mowing the lawn, we could take advantage of that later :)
PIZZA PARTY!!
A little while ago we had Alana's friend Lizzie over (and her parents) to make pizzas. The girls had a lot of fun making them, lots of cheese! We made our own too, but didn't bother taking pictures of that....it's cuter when the kids do it :)

Family pictures
Well this morning we had an appointment to get a family picture taken. First one since all of the grandchildren were born. They decided to try to get one of the kids by themselves. That was interesting. The people at the portrait studio were awesome. They got the kid's attention and even made them laugh. here are the series of pictures of the kids:

Cluggys
We had Aunt Debbie, Uncle Joe and my "little" cousins out for a long weekend. That was a lot of fun! Uncle Joe ended up doing a ride along with Dave on Friday and go figure it was a very slow shift, well until after 11 pm. :)
They went to Cluggys which is a cool family fun center. They have go-karts and mini golf outside and inside there is a batting cage, arcade, snack shop and a couple little kids play areas. Alana had a great time and didn't stop the whole time she was there. Boy was she thirsty when she got home. She didn't want to stop playing even to get a drink!
I stayed back with Tyler. He took an almost 3 hour nap and I did homework. We ended their trip out here with a stop at Alana's favorite 'store' Red Robin....Yummmm!
Go-Karts
Though I was told that this wasn't a race. I was also told Uncle Joe won! The guys had a lot of fun riding in the go-karts while Alana and Aunt Debbie cheered them on. They got this in and 4 holes of mini golf before the BIG storm came! Cluggys seems to be a pretty cool place.
