Well it was a pretty good night for trick or treating. Alana gave me the play by play of what was going to happen "First we'll get dressed up, then we'll go out side and then we'll knock on the door and yell TRICK OR TREAT!!" She was a tiny bit excited! If it were up to her she would have been in her costume all day long.
Poor Tyler though. We get the kids dressed, get outside, and Alana is singing her trick or treat song (trick or treat, trick or treat...we're going trick or treating) and next thing I know I hear a loud thud and look and Tyler is flat on his face. I guess he tripped and ended up hitting his face on the porch. I picked him up and he not only had a good size bump on his forehead but he also had a bloody nose (which you can see in the last picture)! Great first time trick or treating huh?! He was NOT HAPPY! But then once he saw the wagon he was better. He sat in there while we went around. Alana went up to every house and said Trick or treat! And she had the best time, Tyler was just happy riding in the wagon. He didn't really get the whole thing. Dave decided that he would stay back to pass out candy to the tons of kids we got while I took the kids around (next year is his turn to take the kids). Well, it was pretty funny when the kids and I ended up back home... When we got home there were a ton of kids at our house and Alana was in the zone and she went right up to Dave and said Trick or Treat and took some candy and turned around and went to leave. We had to tell her she was home! So her response was "can I eat some candy now?!" I think it's safe to say that despite the bumps and bruises Tyler got they both had a great Halloween!!
