Tree farm 2

Kate just being cute!

Alana was pretty excited to find these cool sticks!

We have our trees!

Silly Uncle Mike running in and out of the trees...and the girls trying to keep up.

We had a great day at the tree farm. And now it's time to go home and decorate.

The tree farm

We met Grandma and Grandpa Olson, Aunty Virginia, Uncle Mike, and Kate at the tree farm this year. Kate and Alana had such a great time together. They were pretty much stuck together the whole time. Tyler enjoyed the fact that he could just run. He did pretty good at following the rest of us, but every once in a while he wanted to go his own way.

The 2 crazy girls!

Tyler trying to find the perfect tree....or maybe a way to escape!

Holiday Parade

We went to the Annual Chambersburg Holiday parade this evening. It was pretty cold out, but the kids seemed to have a lot of fun. Alana's friend Chase came with us, along with his mom. Tyler didn't really care for the waiting part of the evening, but once the parade started he was hooked. Alana and Chase were very excited about everything and kept waiting for Santa to arrive!

Here comes Santa!!!

Santa took too long I guess.

Hmmm...What do I want?!

We have been bombarded with catalogs for anything and everything (Tis the season). So we have decided to give some of the toy catalogs to the kids so they can pick out what to ask Santa for. They really seem to enjoy looking at them. Alana is a little more into it then Tyler, though Tyler seems to be concentrating pretty hard! Alana has begun to circle items that she likes, she circles mostly animals and princess things, but here and there she circles a truck..."for Tyler, but we'll share"

It's Halloween!!

Well it was a pretty good night for trick or treating. Alana gave me the play by play of what was going to happen "First we'll get dressed up, then we'll go out side and then we'll knock on the door and yell TRICK OR TREAT!!" She was a tiny bit excited! If it were up to her she would have been in her costume all day long.

Poor Tyler though. We get the kids dressed, get outside, and Alana is singing her trick or treat song (trick or treat, trick or treat...we're going trick or treating) and next thing I know I hear a loud thud and look and Tyler is flat on his face. I guess he tripped and ended up hitting his face on the porch. I picked him up and he not only had a good size bump on his forehead but he also had a bloody nose (which you can see in the last picture)! Great first time trick or treating huh?! He was NOT HAPPY! But then once he saw the wagon he was better. He sat in there while we went around. Alana went up to every house and said Trick or treat! And she had the best time, Tyler was just happy riding in the wagon. He didn't really get the whole thing. Dave decided that he would stay back to pass out candy to the tons of kids we got while I took the kids around (next year is his turn to take the kids). Well, it was pretty funny when the kids and I ended up back home... When we got home there were a ton of kids at our house and Alana was in the zone and she went right up to Dave and said Trick or Treat and took some candy and turned around and went to leave. We had to tell her she was home! So her response was "can I eat some candy now?!" I think it's safe to say that despite the bumps and bruises Tyler got they both had a great Halloween!!

Alana's Art work

Here are some of the projects that Alana has done in school. I decided to start taking pictures of them for the scrapbook. I have a feeling that we are going to be getting so many of these that it will be impossible to keep them all! She loves doing them so between home and school we have a ton!
The scarecrow I think is my favorite so far. She has glued the top of the pants to the shoulders of the shirt in the back! It is very cute and she was so proud of it when she brought it home! It even has '2 eyes, 1 nose and a great smile' as she says!

Trying for a good picture

It is very hard to get a 'good' picture of the two of them. But between the looking away, silly faces, and plain craziness we got one, kind of. After that last picture they were done sitting together.
