Beauty Shop

Alana decided that we both needed make-overs. So she got out her little 'beauty shop' that her Aunt Becky got her. It has lots of glitter and lipsticks and even stickers for earrings. She had a lot of fun. I think I still have glitter on my face from that day. Good thing Daddy wasn't home, he would have ended up with some purple or pink eyes and cheeks! In the last picture she was doing a silly face and insisted I take her picture!

Music box dancer

The kids love the show Hi 5. Alana likes the part where one of the girls (Karla) is pretending to be a music box dancer. We had to watch that part over and over again until Alana got it just right. Not by our choice! I swear one day she is going to be an actress! She loves pretending and everything is a song with her. She makes one up just about everyday. I really should start writing them down, they are pretty funny. Tyler tries to do the dance and sing along as well. Never a dull moment around here.

Tyler sleeping.

Tyler was upstairs playing and I guess he had just had enough. This is an interesting way to fall asleep. It doesn't look very comfortable to me. Notice he has his pooh bear blanket and a train near by! Our kids seem to fall asleep just about anywhere they are if they are tired!

Mother's Day.

I'm a little late in posting these. This was my first Mother's day present that Alana had made me in school. Pretty cute. She was very proud of it. All of the kids painted flower pots and then they cut out the flowers and glued them on craft sticks and put them in the pot. It was filled with Hershey Kisses and Hershey Hugs. Notice she signed her name. Pretty cute. She also had a butterfly painted on her cheek, but it is hard to see.

having fun together

The kids and I took a long weekend to Ohio. Dave had to work all weekend so we figured it would be fun to go to Grandma and Grandpa 'popcorn' as the kids call them. Grandpa has an old fashion popcorn maker and the kids LOVE to help Grandpa make popcorn in it. It is the only popcorn Alana will eat!
It is great that the kids all get along so well and are about the same age. We did attempt to have Alana do her first sleep-over at Elizabeth's house. She did great up until lights out. I guess they did the bed time routine and she was tucked in bed next to Elizabeth but once Aunt Amy was telling them good night Alana lost it. She needed mommy. So Aunt Amy drove her back home. So we will try that again some other time!

Silly cousins
Couldn't resist taking this picture.
He'll hate it when he is older!
They were getting a little crazy...time for a video!
This was a great picture of Alana with her Aunt Becky!

Tyler and the train

It was no surprise that Tyler had zero interest in anything other then the train the first day we were in Ohio. We thought it would be fun to take them back to the pond to feed the fish. Tyler humored us and walked back to the pond with us, and then he got bored rather quickly. He decided he would take himself back up to the house and went straight for the train. Good thing it wasn't painted Thomas blue otherwise we would have never gotten him away from it! He was very excited when he heard a real train while they were outside playing. My parents live right up the street from a railroad crossing.
It might be a little hard to tell what he is saying but the first thing is "All aboard" then he is saying "Bye bye choo choo, Bye Bye Mom"

Playing outside

The kids had a great time playing together out side. They would run back and forth between the train that Grandpa made and the swing set. It was fun to see the 4 of them running around together. They all got along very well and didn't fight, too much, over toys. They had a hard time taking turns with who was going to drive the train. But those debates usually didn't last long.
